April Newsletter

April is when the good weather turns into great weather, yet is still too early for the major crowds. This is the best time to visit Malta if you want to experience more of our island before high summer. The average temperature starts to climb to around 20ºC, which is perfectly warm enough for spending long days at the beach or by the pool, while rainfall slows.

This is your Last Chance to book our Spring promotion!!!

Offered at the Mayflower Hotel, Malta, during the month of April, for just £79 per week* of accommodation for two persons. Limited availability left so don’t be disappointed and contact the reservations team!!!

* T & C’s apply.

7th April 2024 Strawberry Fest!

In April, the village of Mġarr celebrates the cultivation and harvest of its locally grown strawberries in the main village square, with plenty of stalls selling freshly picked strawberries, strawberry-inspired handcrafted products, and a menu with an endless list of food, the truly delicious cakes (we can vouch for this, and the rest of the month try to shake off the calories gained), pastries, and beverages made with the very best strawberries available.

The flavour combinations with artisan and local products and strawberries prepared by our chefs are awe inspiring, so come and taste as many as you can!

Local entertainers will be playing music, and people will dance (traditional or not depending on the number of strawberry-based cocktails consumed!)

We would love to see you on Sunday 7th April to indulge and celebrate Malta’s rich agricultural heritage. We will be there, will you?

20th– 30th April 2024 Malta International Firework Festival

The 22nd edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival will be taking place in April. Each night promises to be a beautiful display of colour and coordination, and the closing night is bound to be a true spectacle.

The festival also has a competitive edge! Each year, the festival hosts a Pyro musical competition, which means that the fireworks are designed to match the rhythm of a musical number! Awards are then distributed to the most impressive displays.

Various local and international firework factories participate presenting impressive shows of their capabilities. Fireworks have been a very long tradition for the Maltese since the time of the Knights of St. John came to Malta in 1530 whereby, they introduced fireworks which became an integral part of our traditions.

The festival takes place in three main areas, the Grand Harbour, Marsaxlokk and Bugibba.

Club news Update:

Recently we have expanded our availability grids to include a number of search options, this will improve our booking service as we now have a more efficient and direct access to inventory. We have removed the ‘live’ availability on the website in light of this as one feed cannot show all inventory available, and we aim to create a more personalised service by providing through our reservations team, a tailor-made experience for individual requests.
