Mr. & Mrs. Passepartout’s adventures.

The Newly weds are settling into their new lives and dreaming of their next escape after a blissful honeymoon.
Passepartout is thinking of somewhere exotic, while Elsa is thinking of somewhere cooler due to her excess of fur (possibly Lanzarote) – see who wins their first battle in the next newsletter!
Fun facts about Lanzarote
It has a secret lagoon with hidden gems, formed when sea water flooded an old volcanic crater, the water is green as a result of algae (Ruppia-Maritima) in the water. There’s a vibrant green mineral called olivine found around the lagoon making popular with geologists and jewellery makers. If you take a stroll around the lagoon, you can find your own olivine!
Lanzarote’s landscape is so striking that it has been used as the setting for a large number of films. Blockbusters such as Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth and Journey to the Centre of the Earth were both filmed on Lanzarote. Popular television series such as Doctor Who and Search for Treasure Island also featured the stunning backdrop of Timanfaya National Park.
NASA should come to Lanzarote for a lesson in how to grow produce on the moon. One look at La Geria– desolate, lunar-like, grey – and the idea of growing grapes seems as far-fetched as reaping spuds on Mars. But grow they do.
